"It is the best tasting sausage I have ever had. All other jalepeno sausage I have cooked lacked heat and was just ok. This stuff has a nice punch of heat and saltiness and was very tender. - Read More

“My favorite sausage of late is from Patek's out of Shiner. Up until now they have been available locally only, but they are gearing up for distribution. If the quality holds up, they will one of the best on the grocery store shelf.”

“There are some Pateks, Maekers, Praseks and Janeks in this little sausage fest. The crowd favorite out of this batch was the Pateks Pork & Beef w/Japs.”

“The stop in Shiner was at Patek's where I picked up an ice chest full of all beef frankfurters. Patek hot dogs may be the best on the planet.”

"Patek’s Grocery Store and Meat Market...makes a variety of sausages including their Shiner Dogs which are bright red pork and beef creations that are very good – much better than the average supermarket dog." - www.chowhound.com

“Looking forward to your review on Patek's Shiner Smokehouse sausages. I found some of their Shiner beer brats and smoke breakfast links at HEB and they were very good. I heard they have a good variety of flavors. Might be making a trip to Shiner very soon!” - Chili Bob's Houston Eats

"Patek’s makes some very good sausages; in the back of the store at the meat counter you can find a wide variety (actually, on this visit, there was only a small selection). I really like Patek’s dry sausage and wieners; they’re probably the best I know of from sausage makers in this part of Texas. The wieners are skinless but all beef and very good. This time I also picked up some Shiner beer brats and ring bologna that I’ve never tried before. They call their wieners Shiner dogs." - www.roadfood.com
